TiE University is the college-age sister program to TiE Carolinas Young Entrepreneurs (TYE). Like TYE, TiE University is empowering our university students to become the next generation of entrepreneurs by educating, mentoring, and inspiring university students to plan and take intelligent risks in starting a business.
The teams get mentored by real-world entrepreneurs and compete in a mock/practice round and a qualifying round in Q1. The final teams then go on to compete for cash prizes at TiE Finals, a pitch competition held every Spring. The winning team then goes on to the TiE University Global Pitchfest Competition held in Silicon Valley in May to compete with other TiE University teams from around the globe for the top prize of $50,000 and a cash prize pool of $100,000, plus in-kind awards of $500,000. The TiE-U Global Pitchfest event is held in conjunction with TiECON Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, California.
