TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is an exciting and challenging program designed to help high-school students develop business acumen and realize the rewards of entrepreneurship through a combination of instructor led and mentor facilitated sessions. Teams employee design thinking approach to ideate on product or service they would like to bring to the marketplace. Working under the mentorship of industry leaders they validate their ideas with customers by building prototypes, develop go to market strategies and financial plans. Towards the end of the program, the teams compete at the regional level for cash awards totaling $5,000. The regional winner goes on to compete at the global competition for cash awards totaling $10,000.
This is a very competitive program and requires commitment of 3-4 hours per week over the 6-7 month duration of the program.
